Ebookers Without Fees for Hotel Cancellation

So far Customers who need to amend or cancel their bookings had to pay a standard fee.
With the new rules Customers will only be required to pay a fee if the hotel has a own cancellation policy in place.
ebookers.com Hotel has also removed booking fees across its entire hotel portfolio.

Germanwings Pilots on Strike

Travellers who have made plans to travel during that period can book new tickets, provided that the original booking was made before February 17th, for flights scheduled until March 25th. The new bookings will not allow for a change in route.
As a low cost airlines they don´t offer Passengers a free phone number so please call them to support higher salaries for their pilots !

Qantas Removes First Class Seats from Nine Boeing 747-400

Qantas Airlines will replace its first class cabin on Boeing 747-400 aircrafts by new business class flatbed seats which are already in use on the existing Airbus A 380 models.

On the 12 A380´s already in use or ordered until 2012 Qantas will retain the first class but will reduce the number of seats in its business cabin, and increase the premium economy and economy offering. The remaining 8 A380s due to be delivered from 2012 will feature a three-class cabin without first class.

Qantas CEO Alan Joyce explained the decision as follows:

“Maintaining a First offering on flagship routes is essential for Qantas as a premium airline. It is vital that we align this offering with forecast demand which is expected to be relatively slow compared to business, premium economy and economy.

“Our 14 A380 First suites will be offered on twelve aircraft and on daily services from Sydney and Melbourne to London via Singapore and Los Angeles.

The upgrade and reconfiguration programme will commence at the end of 2011 and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2013.

one week after Delta Air Lines announced the end of their daily service to JFK American Airline today came back with a happy news for Manchester Airport
American Airlines will offer a seasonal summer service from Manchester to New York, John F. Kennedy starting May 16th, 2010 and ending September 30th, 2010

Manchester Airport will lose the next transatlantic flight connection

as Delta Air Lines announced today they will stop their Boing 757 service from Manchester to New York John F. Kennedy Airport on January 8th, 2010.
After BA in 2008 and Bmi during the last year Delta is now the third carrier that cancels transatlantic flights from Manchester Airport.
Delta Air Lines confirmed that they will keep their daily Boing 767 service from Manchester to Atlanta.

Jet2.com Expands Services at Manchester Airport

One day after low-cost rival Ryanair said that it will cut Services from Manchester Airport starting October, 1st, Jet2.com announced that a new Boing 737 aircraft will be based at Manchester Airport from next year. This aircraft will be used for new services to Kos, Venice and Grand Canaria. Further on Jet2.com announced that they will increase the frequency of their flights to Dalaman, Sharm el Sheikh, Tel Aviv and spanish Canary Island Lanzarote.
