TravelJungle claims social networking first
Users of price comparison site TravelJungle.co.uk can now share their search results with friends and family on Twitter and Facebook.
Other new features added to the include price charts, showing the cheapest time to travel to a particular destination, and country summaries, providing essential details on airports, language and time zones.
‘If you just want to find a good deal fast, TravelJungle.co.uk will still search out the most competitive hotel, car and flight offers quickly and with no fuss,’ said director, Gereon Krahn.
‘But we know that some people want more than just a fast and efficient meta search, which is why we have added these innovative new features.
‘As well as providing a more flexible way to search with more options, we have added lots of useful travel information to make planning your trip even easier.
‘And then, when you have found a flight, hotel or car deal that you like, you can share it with your friends and family through Twitter or Facebook – an option that we believe is currently unique among travel meta search sites.’
TravelJungle.co.uk searches flight, hotel and car hire offers from nearly 30 online travel sites, including British Airways, easyJet, ebookers.com, Economy Car Hire, hotel.info, lastminute.com and Octopus Travel.
The company was founded in 2001 in Germany and launched in the UK in 2003. It also operates in Spain.
